Office of School Readiness pre-k Four site
Loving Care derives it’s monthly themes, concepts and related activities from the High Reach curriculum. Lesson plans are developed for each classroom based on the needs discovered through the children’s individual assessments. Activities are chosen from the High Reach curriculum that will encourage individual skill development. We use the High Scope approach to classroom management.
Daily Schedule of Activities
Daily schedules will vary by age group. Each classroom will have a daily schedule posted in the room.
Children are assigned to a classroom based on their age and the Alabama childcare regulations.
Staff to Child Ratio's
Loving Care Children’s Center will always follow the state guidelines for child to staff ratios. You will find those ratios posted in the office.
Most age groups will nap between 12- 2pm. All infants will nap when necessary.
Education/Personal Care Supplies Needed
Loving Care Children’s Center will charge an annual supply fee in September for educational supplies. Parents are responsible for maintaining adequate personal care supplies for us to care for your child.
We will be happy to help your child celebrate their birthday or special holiday as long as the parent provides all necessary supplies.
Informal parent/ teacher conferences are available at any time. Formal conferences are scheduled twice a year. Parents are encouraged to attend all conference request. Failure to attend a requested conference may result in dismissal from the program. Monthly Parent Enrichment opportunities are provided on various topics related to child development.
Loving Care Children’s Center will host a End Of Year Celebration for those children entering Kindergarten in the fall. The celebration is generally the last week of May. The celebration is not mandatory, but you are required to notify the office if your child will not be participating in the program. Those children with behavioral problem may not be allowed to participate without parental assistance.
